Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Alikhan (“we”, “us”, “Service Provider”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Artyq mobile application and related online services (collectively, the “Application”).
Summary
- Your budget data (accounts, transactions, categories) is stored primarily on your device.
- Our servers store your account, subscription status, and — only if you turn it on — a cloud backup of your budget data.
- If you use AI import, the file you upload is processed to extract transactions and is not kept on our servers after processing.
- We do not sell your personal data. Free users may see ads through Google AdMob, which may use your device advertising ID; Premium subscribers do not see ads.
Information we collect
1. Data stored on your device
The Application stores your financial records locally (for example: accounts, transactions, categories, and app settings) in on-device storage. This data stays on your phone unless you choose to create a cloud backup or export it.
2. Account information (server)
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:
- Google account identifier
- Email address
- Authentication tokens needed to keep you signed in
3. Subscription information (server)
If you purchase Artyq Premium, we store subscription status, product ID, and purchase identifiers received from Google Play so we can verify your subscription and restore it on a new device.
4. Cloud backup (server)
If you enable cloud backup, the Application uploads a copy of your budget data (accounts, transactions, categories) to our servers over HTTPS, together with the time of the last upload. It is stored so that you can restore it on a new device, and only your signed-in account can retrieve it. If you prefer that your financial data never leaves your device, do not enable cloud backup.
5. AI import (optional)
If you use AI-assisted import, you may upload a bank statement, receipt, or similar file. Our server sends the file you upload to Google Gemini to suggest transactions. The file is processed in memory and is not stored on our servers after the request is completed. AI usage may be subject to limits tied to your subscription.
6. Technical data
Our servers may process standard technical information when you use the Application, such as IP address, request time, and error logs. This is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
How we use information
- Provide sign-in, sync, and subscription features
- Store and restore backups you request
- Process AI import when you choose to use it
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations
- Protect the Application against abuse and fraud
Third-party services
The Application relies on the following third parties:
- Google Sign-In — authentication. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Play Billing — in-app subscriptions. Google Play Terms
- Google AdMob — advertising for free users (device advertising ID and related data). Google Privacy Policy
- Google Gemini — AI text processing for optional import features. Google Privacy Policy
These providers process data according to their own policies when you use features that depend on them.
Data retention
- Account data — kept while your account is active.
- Cloud backup — each upload replaces the previous one. Your backup is kept until you delete your account or ask us to remove it.
- Server logs — kept only as long as needed for security and operations.
Your rights and choices
You may:
- Access or update account information by signing in to the Application
- Delete local data by uninstalling the Application or clearing app data
- Request deletion of your server account and associated backups
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
Account and data deletion
You can delete your account in the app: Settings → Backup → Delete account. See our account deletion page for full instructions.
Alternatively, email artyq2026@gmail.com from the email address linked to your Google account. We will verify your request and delete your data within a reasonable time, unless we must retain certain information for legal compliance (for example, tax or payment records).
Uninstalling the Application removes local data from your device but does not automatically delete server-side backups or your account.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may request to know, access, delete, or correct personal information, and you will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information for money. If you use the free version, Google AdMob may use your device advertising identifier to serve personalized ads, which can be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out by limiting ad personalization in your device settings, by resetting or deleting your advertising ID, or by subscribing to Premium, which removes ads entirely. International transfers
Our servers and third-party providers may process data in countries other than your own, including outside the European Economic Area. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Children
The Application is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact artyq2026@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS for all data in transit and access controls that limit each backup to the account that created it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Data breach notification
If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Material changes may be communicated in the Application where appropriate.
